No, as with all services provided, grooming is done in your home where your dog feels most comfortable. By performing the groom within your home, it minimizes your dog from becoming stressed and eliminates the possibility of escaping while being brought to a van.

 No, to ensure your dog is receiving a premium experience the shampoos, conditioners, towels, tools are supplied. Through annual certifications and summits which include many industry leaders from all corners of the pet care industry, allows Dogman ATL to ensure top quality products, the right products and, most up to date practices are being utilized to truely supportyour dogs health.  Access to the following: A water supply such as a tub for bathing or shower with hose attachment, a power outlet to finish the grooming service and a space within your home that will be free of distraction for your dog and void from others interrupting are is required.

Due to safety concerns, all members of the household, including other pets and anyone other than your Dogman ATL pet professional, must remain in a separate area of the house while grooming services are performed. If you have a home surveillance system, such as a camera, you are welcome to watch as services are performed as long as it is not in a bathroom. If your camera has two-way audio, please refrain from using it, as the sound of the camera or your voice could cause your dog to react while they are being groomed, creating a safety hazard. This is required, Service is cancelled upon breach at the cost to the client.

No, each day is planned so each dog gets the best experience. Your professional also travels with only what was booked for that day and would not be able to accommodate a last-minute alteration.

Yes. The rabies vaccine is required to be up to date upon intake. Also required, any vaccines your dog receives to be no less than 48 hours prior to their groom, this includes blood tests. This helps prevent potential infections they can get at the injection site.

Leaving a house key with on file has helped many clients get the full experience of convenience, this typically makes it much easier to find an opening in your area. Also recommended, scheduling all your appointments in advance as many months out as you can. If you are unable to find any openings in your area, express days are available so you can get ahead of the line and stay on track with your dog's grooming schedule. Additional fees apply for express days.

Yes! Together working with clients, we have had major success helping pets with these needs. Based on your specific needs there are many options that have benefited many pets to become comfortable with the grooming process and their pet care professional. For pets like this, clients are required to maintain the recommendations provided until your pet is more calm and safer for themselves and pet professional alike.

Providing services in each clients home, requires us to build a daily route so services can efficiently be provided to each client. To stay on schedule, you would need to book an express day service. It is highly recommended to book between 6 months and 12 months in advance to get the dates and times that work best for you.

We have a very strict policy of "humanity before vanity". Matting is a serious risk to your dog's health and overall quality of life. Allowing your dog to become matted is uncomfortable for them on a daily basis.  The de-matting process can also be very painful and can lead to major health issues that may require an emergency vet visit. 

Matting can be easily avoided with a proper grooming schedule and maintenance at home such as daily brushing. You will receive expert guidance for a proper grooming schedule and an optimal length of coat that will best support their health. This will assist in the best care of your dog's coat that is easier to manage at home. When we groom your dog and matting is observed, this is indicated in your report card. We will also follow up with helpful information to prevent future matting from occurring. Additional services are offered as well, such as consultations to go in depth one on one where you will access several years' worth of grooming experience at the speed of a moment. When a dog is continuously matted, we maintain your pets coat at the longest level possible that can be healthily maintained free of any matting, we also require dogs be on a 4-week grooming schedule during this period. Services booked past 30 days apart will cause your rates to permanently be raised to the current rate offered to potential new clients.

Light tangling in certain areas of their fur can occur. This can usually be prevented with proper brushing and, when caught early enough usually comes right out. Moderate to severe matting requires an entirely different process that is not only strenuous on your professional groomer, but also for your dog as well and can is damaging to tools, your dogs coat & skin. Matting is processed by shaving it out of their coat to offer quick relief and minimize potential pain. Whenever your dog is de- matted you will receive a separate invoice for the matting. 

Shave downs are required if your dog has severe matting that is close to the skin and can only be fixed by shaving large sections of their coat. Severe matting typically comes off in large sections of fur or is in large quantities throughout the coat. If your dog requires a de-matting shave down, you will receive an additional invoice of $190. Afterwards, you are required to maintain a grooming schedule of no more than 30 days apart to prevent severe matting from happening again. Exceeding the required grooming schedule will result in deactivation without ability to rejoin Dogman ATL pet care services. These additional fees are invoiced due to the extra time, products and strain that can ruins tools. This process also has a high potential of injury for your dog and creates a process to restart their coat. We include this free with your first service as a new client to help start your dog on the right path with a fresh start and this must be mentioned prior to booking to apply. Any future bookings after your first initial appointment, matting related fees will be invoiced and charged after the service.
